001 - Wimbledon Aftermath

Despite what the media might have told you, I was not sulking over losing at Wimbledon. Making it to the semi-finals is an entirely respectable showing, especially for my first year in attendance! Anyway, I won the Muta Madrid Open for the second year running, so it isn't as if I would have anything to complain about even if I was sulking. A little, maybe.

Currently I'm at the Citi Open in Washington D.C., then from here it's the Rogers Cup. Please cheer for me if you're watching!

Even if you were sulking, I think it would have been okay. It was a very close match. You'll probably do better at the US Open, in any case.

Yes, I'm still fairly new at playing on grass courts. They're a weakness of mine.

There's a nice grass court in Kyoto, actually, it's worth the commute there for the practise. I also like to go to Wimbledon a little early, to get some practise.

I'll be playing, but we'll see how good I'll be after this long break. I'll probably come and watch yours, if they aren't scheduled to be on top of each other.
